You Are The Rock In Your Ripple

Supplies needed: Large sheets of Paper or Poster boards and markers

MLS: IID.5.A Self-Acceptance, IID.5.B Personal Responsibilities

General Target: Positive Impact

 

Grade Level Specific
Grade 6: I can share ideas for how I can make a positive impact at school.
Grade 7:I can work with others to show how small actions can ripple out positively.

Grade 8: I can identify ways my behavior and attitude influence others.

Ripple Goodness Activity

1. Start as a Class:
Begin by talking together as a group:
What does it mean to “ripple goodness”?
(For example: one small kind action can lead to more kindness, like ripples in water.)

2. Individual Reflection:
Ask each student to think quietly and write down their own ideas:
How can students make a positive impact and ripple goodness at school or in their community?

3. Group Work:
Put students into small groups. Each group will share their ideas and then create a poster that shows how they can ripple goodness through words, actions, or teamwork.

Key Ideas to Share with Students:

  • You matter!

  • Every person makes a difference.

  • When we work together to create positive change, our ripple effects can grow bigger and stronger.
